WRIR has as a group of volunteers who produce promotional spots for the station. Members of the production team learn digital editing, how to write for radio and how to record/produce radio spots. This is a great way to learn sound engineering through hands-on experience. We have weekly hangouts on Saturdays, 2-4 p.m. to produce promos and learn other skills.
